Financial literacy was discussed in the European Parliament

The visit of the President of the Ukrainian University of Finance and Economics, Viktor Berlin, to Brussels continues, where working meetings of Ukrainian financiers with foreign colleagues are currently underway.

“An interesting exchange of views took place yesterday with European colleagues on the issues of financial literacy of the population,” says Viktor Berlin. “This is the topic that my colleagues and I devote a lot of time to in Ukraine, we hold webinars, give lectures to students, and actively communicate through social networks and the media.

Personal finance management is a very interesting topic, especially for young people. When I give lectures at universities, I see what a lively response stories about my personal experience find. It is through the prism of personality that I have noticed that students perceive really complex information quite easily.

Therefore, I always try to convey my favorite topic, insurance, in a simple and interesting way. I shared my experiences with European colleagues, how, using marketing tools, we, with the help of colleagues from the NBU, together with insurers, are trying to provide a base of financial knowledge that will allow our compatriots to be confident in their own abilities and be able to competently manage their personal finances in general and be able to use insurance products as a fairly powerful tool for protecting their own finances.”
