As part of a delegation of top managers of financial institutions of Ukraine, the President of the Ukrainian Insurance Associations Union and the Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Federation of Insurance Associations of Ukraine, Viktor Berlin, presented Ukrainian insurers in the European Parliament, in Brussels.
Among the main messages of the presentation of the Ukrainian insurance market, Viktor Berlin identified:
-The regulatory framework of the Ukrainian insurance market, thanks to the systematic activities of the National Bank of Ukraine, has been brought into line with international standards and European directives.
-Among the achievements of the market, he focused on insurance of war risks, in particular, Ukraine became one of the first countries in the world to massively adapt insurance products to the realities of war.
-Demonstrated the possibilities of remote conclusion of contracts, online registration of the Europrotocol, online submission of documents for reimbursement, telemedicine services and their integration with insurance. Having analyzed the low level of insurance penetration in Ukraine’s GDP, the President of the Ukrainian Insurance Associations Union emphasized that this indicates a high potential for development of the insurance market.
